Join me in Backing Up La Noir Image Kickstarter Project

Hey beautiful people!

Listen up. A fellow awesome photographer/blogger, Chris Gampat from ThePhoblographer had recently started quite a unique and interesting project called La Noir Image, which is an exclusive documentation of the monochrome lifetyle. Chris has been gathering awe-inspiring black and white images from photographers all around the world, and consolidated the collection of images in the La Noir Image website here. I was fortunate and privileged to be featured as well, you can check out my slot here.

Now, the La Noir Image project is taking a major step up in the game, and a Kickstarter project was created to fund this. Besides just having a cool website, La Noir Image aims to be made more accessible to mobile devices and have regular updates! The goal is to create digital high quality magazine compatible with both Android and iOS platforms, with addition of tonnes of interactive features (not just basic interviews, but also tutorials, discussion on black and white topics, and even video segments).

I genuinely do want to see this project happen. So please do join me in backing up this awesome project, you can start the pledge from USD10!

  1. Hey RTI,
Chris has been a great editor for his blog ThePhoblographer, and his project La Noir Images are not using his own photographs, but a collection of inspiring black and white images from other photographers, including myself. He has been blogging consistently (much better than I ever had) for so many years, and has built a huge following on social media. If I want someone capable of meticulously, and efficiently managing and coordinating a project to ensure there is continuity and consistency over a long period of time, I cannot think of anyone more qualified than Chris.

I will not comment much about your opinion on his review works or his photography. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. Personally, I do enjoy Chris' photography and I have used his reviews as references for myself.

But I must acknowledge that he is doing such a great job featuring guest photographers on his blog and showcasing their wonderful portfolios and have meaningful conversational interviews at the same time. Not many people can do that well, or has a platform to do that.

  2. No worries, RTI. I think photography is very subjective. I am still a learning photographer, so yeah, improving bit by bit along the way. Thanks for your visits and I do welcome feedback/comments. Cheers

  3. I followed the phoblographer for some months and found it uninspiring... But, about the kickstart, it seems to me more an easy way to earn a monthly income thru the work of others... Sorry, not convinced at all.
