Something Sigma This Way Comes

Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens for Micro Four Thirds, shooting in progress now, and full review will be updated on Ming Thein's site soon.

It is an exciting, unusual and unique lens indeed. All I can say now based on preliminary findings, the lens surprised me by exceeding my expectations in some ways, but also fail to impress in certain aspects. I am having so much fun shooting with this lens now. Shout out to Amir for the kind loan.

Do any of you own this lens? Any thoughts and feedback will be appreciated. For once, maybe I hear what you have to say, before I publish my own review?

  1. I don't own this lens so waiting for your review. I had the Sigma 19mm but disposed it off after I got the Panasonic 20mm and 15mm . I am still having fun with the Sigma 30mm f2.8. I like the Sigma 30mm. It is sharp but not too digital sharp like the Olympus 45mm f1.8.

  2. I don't have this lens nor any of the sigma or samyang lines for mft. As far as I understand these lenses are designed for APS-C sensors and are unnecessarily large and heavy for mft. Since the principal advantage of mft is size and weight, these lenses do not seem to me good propositions.
