I Can Smell my Flash Burning.

I was shooting earlier today with my 3 year old Olympus FL36R flash, and suddenly I smelled something burning.... and I realized it must have been the flash. I pointed the head of the flash (where the white bulb is) and gosh... it smelled like some chicken wing BBQ gone wrong. Ok, maybe I was very hungry when I was shooting, but you get the idea.

Olympus FL50R. Here I come.

  1. Robin, I use the Olympus FL-600R flash unit on my OM-D E-M5 camera. It does a pretty darn good job when I bounce it off of a not-too-high white ceiling. I even have a photo on my most recent blog post that shows the result that I get with it on full Auto TTL mode.

    1. Thanks for the reassurance Gregg !! Will be getting one soon.

  2. Doesn't sound very convincing of product quality if a flash unit deceases after 3 years only. I hope with the next one you have better luck.

    1. Hugo, have you seen ne shoot with ny equipment and the flash? If you have, you might wonder how they are all still alive now.
