To all my Dayak friends in Sarawak, have a magnificent and superbly joyous Gawai Dayak celebration !!!
I will be flying home to Kuching tomorrow, and spend a week in my beloved hometown. I intend to spend most of my time catching up with my dear mum, close relatives and some beautiful friends. I also look forward to bring the camera out to shoot on the streets.
Therefore, I shall take a week long break from this blog, and enjoy my holiday. I will still check my email and comments here, but if it is not urgent, you wont hear from me so soon. I beg your understanding for my need to relax and rediscover myself among-st the comfort of my own city and people.
E-5 with 11-22mm lens

Photo above taken with HTC One V phone.
I will resume blogging immediately once I return from my short holiday, that I can promise you.
For those of you beautiful people in Kuching, if you want to find me, drop me an email !!
Lets catch up, and lets hit the streets and get some shutter therapy people !!

Robin, wishing you a deep-rooted, contemplative and insightful recharging session in Kuching. We all benefit from your vision, so refresh and renew in the positive energy of home!

DeleteRobin,

Agreed
DeleteThat first photo is totally amazing time exposure with great colour. News or rumour of an E-7 came up recently on Dpreview, com forums (who knows when it will be ready), but I think the current E5 in the hands of an artist like you Robin is capable of wonderful imaging, as are you with good vision. Your street photos with E5 hold excellent detail. In fact comparing your E5 to newer Pen or OMD photos, I think the E5 still really shines especially with good Zuiko lens and artistic vision/good technique and also spotting the opportunity for a great image. I have tried night photos like this on my working wedding jobs (outdoors at reception halls or on water fronts late afternoons), but your photo here certainly is great, especially with the water reflection and great sky colours and star street light patterns. First rate, when all the photo elements come together just right in the composition. Bravo. Enjoy your holiday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind compliments Adrian !! I too am excited to hear sbout E-7, lets hope it shall come out sooner rather than later.
DeleteEnjoy your vacation! Really wonderful shot.
