One of the nights I was invited to a rather impromptu mini-celebration for a friend's Birthday while I was in Kuala Lumpur. It was already quite late at night, and we had quite a late dinner, followed by the cake-tradition. It was Freddy's final week in KL before he shifted to Malacca for work.
The dinner was at Manhattan Fish Market.

FOOD PLATTER
The platter includes deep fried prawn, squid, fish, fries, and garlic-oiled rice. I particularly love the fact that most of the seafood were rather fresh and free of any strange odor. Preparation wise, I will be biased to give my opinion in comparison with the similar kind of food served in Perth where fish and chips is considered as a common food to the locals and available readily everywhere. But I do think that you can't find that many good fish and chips around Malaysia, and taking this into consideration, I do believe Manhattan Fish Market serves good fish and chips.

BLOWING THE CANDLES
It is always magical having cakes and candles lit for the birthday person. Some traditions are simply precious and wonderful to keep.
