I know there is nothing particularly that special in Coke.. I mean, everyone has tasted it before, some hate it, some are addicted to it, some prefer pepsi. I personally would opt for Vanilla Coke chilled anytime, anywhere ! And everyone knows the hazard of drinking too much coke, and how it could erode your stomach and the unhealthy amount of sugar and the carbon dioxide content and this and that and this and that... yeah, but still, everyone drinks coca cola sometimes.

Even a can of Coke looks uninterestingly boring.

That was what I thought, until I bumped into this when I was window-shopping in the city with Sandra.

I do not know why, but I do find their packaging extremely striking at the first glance. I still find it rather catchy and pleasing to my eyes. As sad as this sounds, I have emptied all three of them, and I still keep those cans in my room !! They look good as decor too.

Evidence That Steamyx SUCKS

I do not have Streamyx, but that does not even stop me from stumbling upon countless proofs pointing that the only available consumer broadband service in Malaysia, Streamyx by TMNet actually, does suck, and I mean it sucks big time.

Like many others who actually apply for broadband services, I use it for one main purpose, gaming. I do not play that many online games, and the one constant game I have been loyal to for almost 2 years now is none other than DOTA. If you are not playing Dota, or have not even touched Dota in your entire life, you are either gay, or know nothing about the wonders of computer and internet. Seriously…. Those who do not play Dota, you do not know what you have missed out in this lifetime!!

Ok, back to the point why Streamyx sucks.

I play Dota using Australian Internet connection, and since my recent return to Perth, I have had troubles connectiong to one of the popular servers here, Bored Aussie. I am noob when it comes to computer stuff, no kidding Out of frustration, I decided to join the BattleNet Asia network instead.

My internet connection is only 512kb/s, and since the plan that we subscribed is one of the cheapest and crappiest most economical available, our bandwidth gets shaped (restricted) down to only 56kb/s, a standard dial up modem connection once it hit the limit. The download limit for a month is 28G in total, and yeah, out of 4 housemates sharing, it does run out pretty fast.

When no one else uses the internet, under the shaped connection of a snail dial up speed, I connect my computer to BattleNet Asia, and joined hosts from both Malaysia and Singapore.

I encountered several weird incidents. The most striking one happened today, when there was one big time lagger from Malaysia. You see, once you lag (your speed does not measure up to the requirements, making you slow, and everyone else slow too) people will curse and curse you like you are worth less than a pile of cat poo. It is that frustrating having laggers in a game. That unfortunate Malaysian lagger apologized, and he said to everyone “sorry lar, I am only using 512kb/s streamyx, not 1.5Mb/s connection, sure lag lar…”

And I replied…

“Dude, Im connecting from Australia, with 56kb/s connection, and I am lag-free.”

What a contrast.

This is not the first time. In fact, most of the laggers come from Malaysia, and Singapore seems to have much more steadier connection. It is either those Dota players download gay porns while playing online, or Streamyx is gay itself.

Oh and besides online gaming, other activities like browsing, MSN-ing and Torrent-ing are all smooth and constantly stable. I have never had problems with MSN connection or having suddenly disconnected or anything.

I know it is not fair to compare. It never is fair to begin with, the maximum broadband service provided to Western Australian currently shoots up to 24Mb/s at consumer level only, which means, you could get that kind of connection (ASDL2) at home. In contrast, Streamyx only provides 1.5Mb/s currently… well you do the math.

If you get an Aussie to use Streamyx and play Dota, I think he would rather shoot himself dead than dying of frustration due to laggy connection over the net.

Oh and yeah, Malaysia Boleh !!

Hot Sexy Babes

Interestingly, following my hot sexy cars entry, dear friend Chun Chow commented:

"hey hey.. no hot babes?? models??? this car show is incomplete!!!!"

I could not help it but to agree more. Of course there were hot sexy babes along with the hot sexy cars, and I believe they deserve an entry of their own seperated from the cars, because somehow I never find cars much of a turn on anyway. I mean, guys are crazy over the cars, right, but most girls have nothing or little to do with the appealing attraction of the cars, but they are always there. To spice up the car a little?

If a hot sexy girl is modelling besides a Proton Saga or a Kancil, will you change your mind and think that those cars are sexy just because of the sexy girls? Sheessshh...

I know, I know, sex and girls and looks sell pretty well, in virtually everything.

During the Perth MotorShow, there were fashion shows lining up every 2-3 hours intervals, and I was fortunate enough to catch one myself. Most of the clothings are sponsored by shops from Carrilon City Shopping Mall at Hay/Murray Street Perth. And the fashion show was mainly organized by Mercedes Benz. Talking about rich car company spending money to attract rich bastards to buy their cars. Hmmmmmphh !!

The Fashion Show started off with casual clothings.


CASUAL OUTFITS

Most of the clothings on display by the models are new line-ups for the season. Well I do not particularly find any of the outfits that striking. After all, this blogger has a very bad sense of fashion, and reads fashion magazine once in a blue blue moon. So yeah...

THREE IS BETTER THAN ONE

Halfway through the casual fashion show, you can see that the reaction from the crowd got less and less energetic, fading into just blank stares into models doing similar catwalking styles over and over again, but with just different outfits. Things got cooled off, but just as the first part of the casual display ended, the environment somehow changed in dynamics drsatically.

And there could only be one reason why. It was the Swim Wear/Bathing Suit Fashion Show !!! Woooo Hooooooo....

Things were getting more and more interesting from here onwards...

SWIM WEAR

I know Wuching should be nose-bleeding by now. Anyway, since it was a car show, there were occasional HONKINGs by horny guys during the swim wear parade, and the entire crowd would just burst out in laughter in response. The cheers were kept moderate, and somehow respectfully warm. I could not imagine this kind of fashion show being held publicly in places like Kuching, or any other parts of Malaysia. You will witness plentiful of uncivilised audience screaming and whistling as if they hit instant orgasm by looking at those exposed skins in stage from a far.

Holy Momma Cow !!! Babes in Skin Tight outfits and bikinis.... How much more pleasing can it be to the eyes? Seriously, I am less ham-sap that I portray myself to be. Seriously !!

My hand was already aching from holding my camera up too long snapping shots by shots, and mind you, it was just a normal budget cam !! I could not imagine myself using a D-SLR and holding it throughout the entire show. My wrist would have snapped.

After the swim wear display, casual was lined back up again. I guess casual wear houses the widest varieties of styles and fashion that could be applied mostly anytime and anywhere.

MORE CASUAL WEARS

The final installment of the fashion show was none other than the formal wear for the ladies. Very dazzling and official looking gowns and dresses designed mainly for important events like dinners, weddings and even parties. Somehow, even ordinary girls would turn out to be something rather different by just slipping these type of garments into their bodies.

FORMAL WEAR

The MC of the fashion show was mentioning about the features and speciality of the dresses, and in her closing, she talked about how useful and appropriate these formal wear would be suited for important events, such as formal dinners, weddings, etc etc.... and she got stuck in the middle of her finishing sentence. Ending her awkward silence, she said.... "and also, errm, these dresses are perfect for a night out with... ermm, your man."

Wah Lau !! A night out with your man you have to wear like that meh????? What am I supposed to wear? A tuxedo? Just for a night out???? Imagine walking into a cinema hall with these wears. *shudders*

Actually there were plenty more outfits than just those displayed in these blogs, but I only select those that I like and posted them up here.

This was my first time attending a fashion show though. It was not the glamourous-high-class type and the event was not even half that grand. But still, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I do find fashion show like this to be rather interesting !! I am sure Wuching would agree too.

I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT !!!!

For a ticket of a MotorShow, I got the opportunity to watch a live Fashion Show. I think it was really worth the money. Oh, and yeah, I cheated them by using my old Student Card for concession price. Sweeeeeet, but not innocent this time.

Hot Sexy Cars...

I have mentioned again and again on how I do not actually see how men can get so horny and turned on by expensive sports cars. Just the same as how I do understand the ridiculous craze over football. To me, cars are just, mere vehicles, designed and engineered to serve our transportation and mobility needs. What is more to that? I know many of you car-lovers out there would come and shoot me right in the arse for saying all this. Call me nuts, I just do not share the fascination.

As pointless as it can be, I actually went to the Perth MotorShow 2007 at the Perth Convention Exhibition Center this afternoon. Yeah, so much for a non-lover, I found myself out of place being there.

Why out of place you ask? Every place I walked to there are guys touching the car, screaming in excitement like a girl, drooling over the engines, and I swear some of them hit instant orgasm when they sit inside their dream cars. How did I know that they had orgasm? Simply by observing the expression on their faces... it seemed like as if they were in heaven. Yes, it was THAT scary if you ask me. Somehow I am thankful i do not share such inappropriate fetishes over cars !! I mean, its just wheels for goodness sake !!

Since my knowledge over those mechanical machines is rather limited, and I actually know nuts when it comes to car brands and types and whatever other non-sense, I shall just talk less and show you guys some pictures. I have selected just a few pictures that I thought would be worth showing, and some good looking cars. Well, you have to understand that my definition of good looking is not necessarily universally agreeable.

Lets start of with cars that I actually do know, from playing games like NFSU2 and the likes. Yeah, sad is it not? Knowing cars only through computer games.

I do not know why, though I generally have no attraction whatsoever towards cars, I do find designs by AUDI rather appealing. My selection of car in NFSU2 was also an AUDI TT. Oh yeah, maybe I just prefer rounded corners and edges somehow. Their appearance just seem to click with what I think is cool and praise-worthy.

I do not know why this Nissan is so famous everywhere. Somehow it just seems to have a place in pleasing everyone's tastes.

Seriously guys, I do not see the beauty in BMW at all !!! Honestly, I think they are just plain UGLY. UUgghhh.. yes, you heard that right, UGLY ! I can never see myself getting such ugly car no matter how much money I own. Yucks. BMW fans shoot me down already.


MERCEDES BENZ

At least Mercedes is much better looking than BMW, though I do not find them particularly striking in anyway. Wonder why all those rich bastards drive Mercedes. So nice meh?


MINI COOPER

I love the movie Italian Job !! Mini Cooper seems to play an important role in promoting the success of the movie, but yeah, why I like the movie and think that its beautifully crafted has little to do with the mini coopers. Nevertheless I do find them rather adorable in a way.


Alright, like I said, I only know not many cars, so cut me some slack here ok? The following pictures are of cars that I could not identify. Yeah, laugh all you want.

Oh dear, I can tell that if there was no display telling the names of the cars I would be so lost. Really, I mean how can anyone possibly know about so much variation of just, well, 4 wheels? To me, never mind about the names, just as long as they are good looking, I snap snap snap the pictures. Yeah.

I was rather disappointed with the car audio section. There was not much on display, and I was hoping for real cool powerful speakers blasting the roof of the cars off. Nope, none of what I expected. Sadness indeed. the accesories section was so lame that, they even have an LCD monitor which was built waterproof.

Tell me, what is the use of that LCD in the car? When your car drowns at least the thing you could salvage is your 1000 bucks LCD screen? Get real !!

Proton was situated right at the very back at one isolated corner. It was my second walk around the place that i noticed it. Wow, Malaysians are indeed ambitious, lining up their products together with.. well all the above cars. Malaysia Boleh !! At least they have gotten that Yellow Gen-2 sold ok?
