A fellow blogger I have known but never really met in life yet has just flown back and made a grand return to Kuching on Saturday evening. He is Kenneth Leong from www.kenjj.com, another awesome blogger from Kuching, my precious hometown. It was of such great honor meeting him. He has just finished his exams few days ago, and already we started making plans for the meet-up. On the very day he came back from Miri, arriving Kuching at 6 something in the evening, we somehow managed to see each other with a group of other friends before 8 that very same evening. Call it an insane rush, huh !!!

We met up at Star Cineplex. What movie did we watch you ask? Bond. James Bond. It was so and so I guess, but I liked the way the make some progressional changes in the 007 trend, this time with less futuristic-oh-so-unbelievable gadgets and technologies and more to the traditional spy-detective feel with just gun and wits. And of course, the addition of real romance is a complete failure.
The only one "boleh-tahan" cinema in Kuching...
Weird Decor for a cineplex... really weird..
While waiting for Kenjj's Grand Arrival, I walked around the Cineplex, sadly, the one of the two operational cinemas in Kuching. It is situated at the nineth floor, hence I was at just the right height to photograph part of Kuching's night scene. Here is the nice Kuching sight I took to kill time...
KUCHING CITY by night....
Right after the movie we (in a group of 12-13 people or so) went to Jalan Sekama for the famous Kolok Mee. Well, interestingly, I think no one talked about the movie while waiting for/eating their noodles, and it kinda felt like the movie was not worth discussing about. Hmmm, maybe it was not worth discussing about after all. However it was a good opportunity to talk and get to know Kenjj better, upclose and personal. He appears to be an extremely friendly and chatty bloke, full with Kuching charisma and yeah, I guess we all bloggers always have great time meeting each other for the first time !! I would not say its like magic, that would sound so wrong and so ghey.
After the session of Kolok Mee, we flew off to Travillion, where the happening spot is on usual Kuching Saturday Nights. There have been quite a number of new places being opened, and oh boy... the entire place was jammed packed with humans from God-knows-where. And like what Kenjj has pointed out.. most of those vultures are underaged kids !! Well, old birds like me would not fancy such life that much, but goodness, kids nowadays are way less innocent anyone can give credit for. What has the world come to nowadays huh? I wonder how their parents keep their eyes on them, and speaking of curfews.. are there any nowadays?
We went home early (if you think slightly after midnight is early, yeah) and I would say, it was a good Saturday night. It was indeed awesome meeting up with Kenneth, and we Kuching bloggers must stand together you know !!! Another round at Bing anytime soon maybe??
Side note: I am so looking forward to meeting with Chloe, Wuching and Merv Kwok. Yeah, they are coming to Kuching soon. Anyone else coming to Kuching?
