Side Note: I am blogging this special entry dedicated to Samantha. I am still on my blogging break actually.

It was on the Halloween's night, it was the night that would usually be branded ladies night out here locally, and it was Tuesday night, there was a HUGE celebration held at Mojo, Kuching, to commemorate and glorify such an auspicious event: Samantha Poh's Birthday !! She invited mostly her close and good friends only, and me being an extremely fresh and new person to her list of friends, I felt truly honored and special at the same time being included in the invitation list. There were more than 20 people present for the celebration, and everyone had one thing in their mind: PAAAAARRRRTYYYYYY like there was no tomorrow.

I arrived to the event rather late since I was with another friend whom was leaving the following day. When I stepped foot inside Mojo, it was already rather packed and happening !! Awesome guys and girls, some dressed in Halloween costumes, some just plain T-shirt and Pants like me, and everyone was just cheerful and smiling all the way throughout the night. I was new there, and I did not know many of Sam's friends, and I had great opportunities to meet some really interesting people, namely a famous Cat's Radio D, a shuffler instructor and a famous blogger just to name a few. I guess pretty much everyone was high on alcohol, since there was quite a generous supply, you name it, they have it: Chivas, Vodka, Martell.... Coke, Sprite.. Orange Juice... lime, plain water, yeah, pretty much everything you need in variation and mixture to create unGodly concoctions.

Sam herself looked extremely dazzling and outstanding from the crowd. I guess above all she was the happiest person, and the joy was radiating out of her filling the entire atmosphere in Mojo. I believe it is always a good thing being surrounded with friends, good friends during any celebrations at all. They mirror back the happiness you radiate out from you, and you can receive the reflections even more evidently.

There was good music.. and groove throughout the night. As it gets later towards the night, people start to let themselves loose and dance on the floor.

A birthday cake stuffed with candles lit, with the light shining from the candles in such dimmed environment in Mojo, the birthday feeling was indeed amplified. And yeah, everyone contributed to the choir of the Happy Birthday Song. I seriously wonder what Sam's wish was before she blew off the candle.

I enjoyed myself tremendously the night through. Everyone was happy, being there seeing everyone happy, and most importantly, Sam being the princess of the night sharing her joy with everyone, I was reminded of the happiness that once was part of me but have left for quite some time now. It was like a flashback to my own chain of events that took place some time ago, which I tried to shake off, and somehow I did, but they just came back to me.. The happy part of course. Old memories tend to resurface when one is faced with another set of new ones. But it is all good, the past is the bridge to the future, and the night at Mojo was a reminder for me to truly immerse myself into the happiness and just walk on.


To Sam, the birthday princess of the night, Happy Birthday !! May your hopes and deepest desires come true, and I wish you lots of peace and love.
